Homeschooling materials recommended by Chris Davis

Some of you remember The Elijah Company Catalog.

I have now created a webpage containing most of the titles recommended in that Catalog…

…and I have arranged them by age (approximate grade level).

Take a look…

  1. Yay — Thank you, Chris. I took a very quick look already and will peruse much more later, but I’ve already noticed in your pre-k book recommendations “The Story of Ferdinand.” It doesn’t seem to be a well-known book and I’m so glad to see you suggest it — I have a very, very old copy of my grandfather’s and cherish it. Looking forward to having fun on your website.

    • Thanks, Janis. I can always count on you to respond. Missing your family…

      • We miss you, too.

  2. Some of my favorites in addition to all the wonderful books you have included already:
I agree with Janis above – Ferdinand is a must have
    Ruth Beechick’s – The Three R’s
Ruth Beechick’s You Can Teach Your Child Successfully
Child’s Story Bible by Catherine Vos
A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola
For the Children’s Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay
We also liked A Reason for Handwriting (scripture verse copy work) by Carol Ann Retzer
When I have more time, I will look at our library and see what else we LOVE. Thanks for asking for input Chris. See you Friday!

    • I think I have some of these but will look to adding what you recommend. They are some favorites of mine, too. Thanks.
